Getting Started with MagicBox®
Welcome to MagicBox®, your comprehensive smart home solution! This guide will help you get started with your MagicBox® devices and walk you through the essential steps to set up and manage your smart home system. MagicBox® combines innovative technology with user-friendly design to give you complete control over your home's lighting, security, and automation.
What is MagicBox®?
MagicBox® is an innovative smart home panel device that integrates various functions into one compact modular unit. It includes advanced sensors (motion, light intensity, temperature, humidity, and presence sensors), wireless WiFi connectivity, and SSL-secured communication protocol to ensure the safety and confidentiality of your data.
The system can be easily installed in place of traditional light switches without requiring additional wiring, making it compatible with existing 230V power installations. MagicBox® also features a built-in alarm system with SMS and email notifications to keep you informed about important events in your home.
Additionally, the MagicBox® system includes the MagicSwitch® module—an expansion device that provides control interface for various electrical devices like lighting, garage doors, or entrance gates. The MagicSwitch® features two inputs for manual triggering and two relay outputs, communicating with the main panel through a secure wireless 868 MHz connection.
Quick Start Guide
Follow these essential steps to get your MagicBox® system up and running:
Step 1: Set Up Your Device's Wi-Fi Connection
Before you can control your MagicBox® from anywhere, you need to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. The setup is straightforward and takes just a few minutes using your mobile phone.
- Connect to the Wi-Fi network generated by your MagicBox® device (starts with "MagicBox_")
- Open your mobile browser and navigate to http://magicbox.local
- Enter your home Wi-Fi credentials
- Wait for the successful connection confirmation

Step 2: Create Your Account
To manage your MagicBox® devices, you need to create an account on the MagicBox® web application at https://app.magicbox.com.pl.
- Visit the application and click the registration link
- Enter your email address and create a secure password
- Check your email for the confirmation link
- Click the confirmation link to activate your account
- Log in with your credentials

Step 3: Set Up Your Rooms
Organize your devices by creating rooms. Think of rooms as groups of devices in particular areas of your home (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom, Kitchen).
- Navigate to the Rooms section in the application
- Click Add Room
- Name your room and select an image that represents it
- Save your room

Step 4: Add Your Devices
Now you're ready to add your MagicBox® or MagicSwitch® devices to your account.
- Go to the Devices section
- Click Add Device
- Enter your device's serial number
- Give your device a descriptive name
- Assign it to a room
- Optionally, name the inputs and outputs for clarity

Step 5: Invite Additional Users (Optional)
You can invite family members or housemates to access your MagicBox® system. You can give them full administrator access or limit them to specific rooms.
- Navigate to the Users section
- Click Add User
- Enter their details and select their role (Administrator or User)
- Choose which rooms they can access (for User role)
- Configure alarm notification preferences
